1st Charlton Kings Boys Brigade Charlton Kings Boys Brigade is a boys group for ages 5 - 18 years. They are split into 4 sections, Anchors, Juniors, Company and Seniors.

We meet at Charlton Kings Baptist Church on Friday evenings.

Friday night consisted of cricket and some litter picking.

Saturday afternoon saw 40+ anchor boys attend the anchor sports day. Races, archery and lots of playtime were enjoyed by all.

After singing & dancing around the camp fire last night, the boys finished watching the DVD & went to bed very late. Remarkably, they were up in time this morning to pack their cases, tidy their rooms & go for their last breakfast together. Also, the final group photo taken. We're now at Airhop enjoying the air conditioning.
Parents, I'll see you at Christchurch at 5pm.

Today started with a hearty fried breakfast followed by our boys taking their turn at clearing up.
Then we went for a hike across Dartmoor to find some rocks to crawl through. Our instructor was very patient! Then it was home for lunch & games in the woods. After that we went back to the quarry on the moors to catch tadpoles & tiny fish. We are now watching a DVD, waiting for our
friends from 1st Tewkesbury to visit for marshmallows & games. They are staying in nearby Broadlees

Junior camp started very early today as the excited boys were up & ready for their day trip to Crealy Adventure Park. It was very hot, but with the re-applying of sun cream, drinking loads of water & finding some shade wherever possible, we had a fantastic day.
It was then back for a shower, enjoyed a very tasty roast dinner followed by Eton Mess & now watching another DVD before early to bed tonight. Meanwhile, the leaders will be drinking tea & eating well deserved cake 😀

We finally arrived at Heatree. The boys found their dormitory & decided on which bunk bed to sleep in!! Then it was loads of free play in the grounds before dinner. Now its time for a DVD before bed & (hopefully) sleep ready for another action packed day tomorrow.

After a very hot & long journey down the M5, we finally arrived at Apex Park. Had lunch, a walk around the lake & some play time in the park to stretch our legs. We're now on our last leg of the journey. Hope to arrive about 4 (traffic dependent). The boys have been very patient.

Please can I remind Boys' to wear their BB polo shirts to BB. With the hot weather its a great opportunity to go outside and this allows us to do that a little easier. Thanks
