At The Movies (Pt. 1): The Lion King

What an amazing morning! Back to Church Sunday where we prayed over our kids in the service as they head into their new school years. We were reminded by Pastor Em that every single one of us is called to reflect the Creator because He placed creativity right inside us!

Taking inspiration from The Lion King, here are a few encouraging truths to hold onto this week:

You don't have to carry worry alone. Worry isn't ours to deal with by ourselves (Matthew 6:34). God wants to help and guide us, even when we're tempted to go our own way.

True strength comes from Him. We are made brave through God. He is good, and He is always here for you.

The ultimate sacrifice. When God sent His Son to Earth, it wasn't an easy choice but Jesus did it all for you (John 3:16). He came to redeem what was lost and restore our hope (Isaiah 61:1-3, John 3:17-18, 21).

No matter what season you find yourself in, never forget the most important truth of all: Remember who you are (Isaiah 61:10). You are loved, chosen, and redeemed.

FROM CROWD TO COMMUNITY

Jesus meets us in the crowd. He meets us right where we are ,more than just on Sundays.

He meets us in the crowd, invites us into community, and gives us communion.

So how do we move from crowd to community?

✨ Everyone serves each other.
“When you did it to one of the least of these… you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40

✨ No one is lonely.
“God sets the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:6

✨ Neighbours notice.
Community means seeing one another, showing up, and caring beyond the surface.

The best version of you doesn’t exist in isolation. It grows within community.

Let’s remember His goodness, hold firmly to hope, and keep meeting together.

WEEK 4 OF MORE THAN SUNDAYS by Pastor Andy!

What’s your most used membership or loyalty card? 💳

Jesus didn’t save you for a Sunday morning membership. He saved you for purpose, community and impact.

You were never saved to simply attend. You were saved to belong.

Jesus meets us in the crowd, but invites us into community.

No one should walk alone. “God sets the lonely in families” Psalm 68:6

God has more for you, and He hasn’t forgotten you. 🙌

You belong to something bigger. Welcome home!

What happens when the ordinary collides with the extraordinary?

✨ Heaven meets earth.

On Sunday, we explored what it means to be aligned with God’s heart and to become more than the ordinary. Because the best thing we have is Jesus—and when we allow Him to fill us, our lives are never meant to keep that overflow to ourselves.

When God fills you, it’s not actually about you.

What has God poured into your life?
What do you have that someone else needs?
What can God do with what He’s placed in your hands?

If you’re not sure what you have to give… you have Jesus.

Let Jesus flow out of you. 🙌
Pour yourself out. Walk in humility. Share what God has given you.

Because what comes next is REVIVAL. 🔥🔥🔥

So the question is… are you going to stick to the routine, or step into revival?

What if the ordinary places in your life are actually where God wants to do something extraordinary?

Sometimes familiarity makes us stop expecting more. But God takes what feels ordinary and breathes something extraordinary into it.

When we speak the more and believe for the more, it has impact. When the ordinary collides with the extraordinary, heaven meets earth.

Jesus didn’t come just to fill us, but so that what fills us could overflow through us.

Don’t settle for the mundane when God has called you to carry something more.

Your ordinary can become someone else’s extraordinary✨

MORE THAN INFLUENCE. MORE THAN SUNDAY.

The world says, “Follow me.”
Jesus says, “Follow Me.”

Jesus isn’t just someone who gives us good advice or helps us become better. He is King, and His authority calls us to respond.

💬 Advice is optional. Authority calls for obedience.
🧭 Advice guides. Authority leads.
❤️ Advice can change our actions. Authority changes our character.

So the question is: Is Jesus your coach or your King?

“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice…” Matthew 7:24 📖

When Jesus is King, obedience isn’t a burden.
It’s the beginning of an adventure.
