Church in Upper Rissington, meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at Upper Rissington Village Halll, with community events through the week.

CUR:ve means “The Church in
Upper Rissington: valuing everyone”. The logo has been designed to reflect
the history of Upper Rissington
(the RAF plane),
the centrality of Jesus (the cross),
and a sign of hope for the new community (the rainbow). The diverse colours of the rainbow reflect the diversity of people
within the community,
each with their own value and place.

It’s the first Sunday of the month which means it’s Forest Church time again! Do join us!

Today at Forest Church we learned about seeds, and we found and protected baby trees. We talked about how tiny seeds grow into huge trees, much like God's kingdom grows from a tiny seed. We even saw the seed a tiny oak tree was growing out of. It was great to be out in the fresh air together, sharing community and learning together. Our next session in Sunday 4th July - do join us!

We meet outside The Rissington School and use the nature around us to learn more about God, suitable for all ages. Friendly dogs (on leads please) are also welcome!

We had a lovely time this afternoon doing Forest Church out in the sunshine! We learned about some of the ways God used a stick (of all things!) during the life of Moses, we crafted sticks into snakes and made 'journey sticks'.

The next Forest Church will be on Sunday 6th June. Hope to see you there!!

This is a wonderful prayer for today.

"We pray today for those in love, those out of love, and those in between. We remember especially those who find themselves a little bit lonelier than normal.

"King of Love, on this day named after an unmarried saint, embrace the unlovely, unloving parts of our world, of ourselves today. Song of Songs, inspire simple thoughtful acts, scatter sparks and rekindle the fires of romance wherever marriages are mired in the mundane.
