Worried about Halloween…?

We are holding the very moving and powerful Celtic Communion with Healing Prayer and beautiful music from the Celtic church from:

7 – 8 pm on the evening of Monday 31st October (“Halloween” in common parlance), at St Mary’s, Prestbury.

To offer a time of light and hope as an alternative to Halloween to our local community.

We will keep the Church open and brightly lit all evening and refreshments will follow the service.

It’s a service of hope and love amidst all the usual darkness of this evening – do come if you can!

Warm wishes,

Fr Nick

Services for Her Majesty
As we enter the final 48 hours before Her Majesty’s funeral on Monday, you are warmly invited to a selection of local services at St Mary’s Church and St Nicolas Church, Prestbury this Sunday 18th.
At St Mary’s, there is a quiet reflective Holy Communion lasting about 40 minutes at 8.00 am.
This is followed by Breakfast Celebrate at the School on Bouncers Lane with light breakfast from 9.00 am and then a service with modern music at 9.30 am with our puppets and puppeteers.
Then at 11.00 am, the main Sunday Eucharist with hymns will focus on commemorating the Queen’s life, including a short interview with Bernard Parkin, the Queen’s official Racing Photographer.
There is Evening Prayer at 6.30 pm, again a reflective traditional service using the timeless language of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, as we look forward to the next day.
Meanwhile at St Nicolas at 9.30 am we have the weekly Parish Eucharist with hymns which will also commemorate the Queen’s life, supported by our local Brownie Pack who meet weekly at the Church.
