Hi ALL, a belated THANK YOU to all those who attended the Church May Fayre on Sat 16th May. Thank you to those who helped with the ‘set-up’ and the ‘take-down’ and to those who ran stalls. It was a team effort and this really does make a difference.

The event was well turned out, lots of people attended despite the weather looking ‘dodgy’ in parts! Thanks to the Blue Knights who attended and to the two chaps who brought the classic cars.

Thanks to the entertainment groups who gave us a show and to the Kings Arms who provided the BBQ and Bar. Thanks to the bell ringers for showing the public how to ring and letting them have a go! Thanks to the ladies in the refreshments hall serving all the tea and cakes! And thanks to the external stalls for adding the extra for people to look at and buy including the ‘Therapy dog stall’ who brought their gorgeous dogs.

Thank you to all those who donated raffle prizes for our amazing hamper raffle - the lucky winners really got a treat !

There was something for everyone! We raised some funds for the church and enjoyed a great community event for everyone. The next Church Fayre will be the Christmas Fayre on Sat 28th November. Details will be sent out nearer the time. It really helps support our church when you all come along and enjoy the fun!

Lots at Film Club today! Couple of newbies aswell which is lovely,

Today we’re watching (something different) a documentary called Chelmsford and Colchester in the Sixties!! Everyone seems to be enjoying it…. Remembering the good ole days!!

And we have a quiz afterwards so this will be fun 🤩

Are you free this Saturday? Fancy a nice walk? Walk and learn about our Heritage. St Mary’s at Broomfield Parish Church will be meeting at Cheerful Chai at 1030 to commence a 2 hour walk around Broomfield Village. All welcome. X

Great evening at Broomfield Parish Church last night - A Cockney Singalong with Fish n Chips Supper!! Hosted and organised by Jill Parkin 👏 Was a great atmosphere and great food - and everyone had lots of fun. Watch out for the next ‘Singalong’ coming your way!!

Special thanks to ‘The Sea Master Fish & Chips Van 41 who cooked up amazing food and were very attentive and friendly - we’ll definitely be in contact again 💯

A gentle reminder for this Sunday… Family Service celebrating Mothering Sunday… a beautiful service is planned with the Bells, Church Choir and the puppets all included. Children can also give their Mums/Carers & Grandmas poses of flowers. Spread the word and bring your tissues it’s an emotional one! Arrive promptly to secure your seat!!
