We have had a really nice week.
Our monthly coffee club in beautiful sunshine and plenty of chat at our annual volunteers thank you evening.

Our churches rely entirely on the work and the giving of volunteers. Friends of Essex churches provide grants to support our churches, and half of what is made on the day will be retained by St Andrews.

Nature Notes from St Andrews Church Yard.

We are very pleased with our wild area.

Martin Henry has noticed so many Painted Lady butterflies that it was impossible to count.
This species until this summer was an irregular summer long distant migrant from southern Europe, but there has been an explosion in numbers this year.
In addition there has been a mega rarity, a brown Argus which is not seen here every year.
The third butterfly is a Gatekeeper.

We are holding a history morning at St Andrews alongside Friends of Essex Churches trust Ride and Stride. If you are able to join the sponsored event or join us for the history morning, all donations will be split between St Andrews and FOECT.
The trust does amazing work providing grants for repairs and improvements to our churches. St Andrews has benefited significantly in the past.
Please do support us, even just to say Hi, have a coffee and look at our history display.
