Easter is here again! Time to remember and reflect on the death of Jesus Christ today (Good Friday) and celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

On Sunday, the church will be holding a Family Communion Service at 10.30 am, which will be led by Revd. Ken Dunstan.

But before that, let’s have a little bit of fun.

If you have a walk around the village this weekend, see if you can find a ticket with one of the pictures below. If you do, pick it up and bring it to church on Sunday morning and you will receive a little treat.

To maximise participation, there is only one ticket per person and each will receive a small treat. The presentation will take place during the morning service.

Have fun and hopefully we’ll see you Sunday.

This Sunday is Mothering Sunday. In times gone by, this was the day where you attended your’Mother Church’: the church you In more recent times, this is the day when we honour our mothers for all they do or have done for us.

As far as your poster is concerned, his Mother Church is about 450 miles away in Scotland: a good 7 hours drive.

So rather than setting off at 3.30 am, your poster will be at Holy Trinity Church, North Fambridge on Sunday at 10.30 am.

This will be a service for all the family, especially mothers, all of whom will receive a small but special gift to mark the occasion.

So please come along on Sunday morning, 15 March, at 10.30 am. We look forward to seeing you there.

If you were thinking about coming to church tomorrow morning… Don’t!

We are changing things a bit this month.

Tomorrow (March 1st) our service will be a Eucharist (communion) service at 4 pm, with our vicar, Revd Suzie Fryer.

On Mother’s Day (March 15th), there will be a special family service at 10.30 am.

It would be great to see you all at both services but on the 15th, there will be a little gift for all mothers present.

Springtime is coming! OK, some may dispute that at the moment but soon, very very soon, spring will arrive. And in spring, we at Holy Trinity start to focus towards, Lent, Mothering Sunday, and Easter.

So, up-and-coming services will begin to look towards this time.

February 15 (This Sunday), will be our usual Eucharist service, with Revd Suzie Fryer at 4pm.

After that, things start to change…

Sunday March 1 will now be a Eucharist service at 4 pm.

This will allow us to celebrate Mothering Sunday with a service for the whole family at 10.30 am on March 15.

What a great time to reacquaint yourself with your local church. So if you are able to come, it will be great to see you.

And remember that the church continues to be open during the day, Monday to Saturday, for quiet, personal reflection and prayer.

At the time of writing, there are 9 sleeps to Christmas and the excitement is building. The same is true with your local church as the Christmas tree and nativity scene is out on display.

This is a wonderful time of the year! Wonderful because we are celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

On the lead-up to the big day, we will be holding two festive services services.

Sunday 21st December @ 4pm will be our ‘Carols and Eucharist’ service, led by our Priest-in-Charge, Revd. Suzie Fryer.

Suzie will also be leading our ‘Carols and Christingle’ service on Tuesday 23rd December at 6 pm.

Everyone is welcome to come to both services so please do so. If you’re coming on Tuesday, it’s not mandatory but if you’re able, please register an interest at:

[email protected]

This is solely to ensure we have enough Christingles to go round.

Wednesday 10th December
Monday 15th December

The course will consist of three one-hour sessions and is a guide to help us reflect on what Advent means.

To help with our reflections, a selection of poetry, art and music will be used.

The sessions will be informal and conversational in nature.

Thank you very much to all who attended our Remembrance Sunday service; especially those who came to our church for the first time or first time in a while. It was good to spend time thinking about those soldiers from Fambridge, and elsewhere, who died in past conflicts, including both World Wars.

This Sunday, we carry on the theme of remembrance as we focus on those close to us who have now passed away. These people did not necessarily live in North Fambridge but were dear to those who do. Please come and join us in this special Eucharist service, led by our Priest-in-Charge, Revd. Suzie Fryer.

There is still time to tell us of anyone close to you, who has passed away. Just visit the church tomorrow (Saturday) and give us some details on the clipboard in the lobby. The church will be open until about 4 pm. Just open the door and walk in.

The memorial service will be at the church on Sunday at 4 pm. We hope to see you there.

Good afternoon all. Just a reminder that tomorrow (5 October) is our Harvest Thanksgiving service at 10.30 am. As is the usual tradition, we are inviting everyone to donate food or other items (see below), which in turn will be donated to the Dengie Food Pantry.

It would be lovely to see you all at the service, but if you can’t make it, we will be able to accept donations until Tuesday 7th October. Just leave your donation in the church lobby. The church is now open Monday - Saturday, approximately 9.30 am - 4.30 pm.

05/07/2025

Tomorrow (6 July) at 10.30, we will be holding our July Family Service, which will be led by Jenny Pratt, Licensed Lay Reader at St Leonard’s Church, Southminster.

Refreshments will be available after the service.

It would be great to see you there so please come and join us.

12/06/2025

Our next service will be a Eucharist (communion) service this Sunday (15th June) at 4 pm, led by our Priest-in-Charge Revd. Suzie Fryer.

Now that the stained-glass window has been made safe, we’ll be back to using our traditional altar and all the chairs are back to their usual positions.

All are welcome to our service and we look forward to seeing you then.
