Aiming to be like Jesus We are a thriving, friendly church in the middle of the community of Meadgate.

Everyone is welcome to join us whether you’ve been going to church for years, haven’t been for a while, or are just interested in finding out more. On a Sunday we have three services that cater for all tastes, but Meadgate Church doesn’t end on Sunday – you can normally find something going on every day of the week and you’ll find details of all that we do on our website. We hope you’ll drop by an

d find a non-threatening, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Don’t expect an organ and a lot of serious people - we are lively and have a mixed age congregation. None of us are perfect, we’re just a bunch of people trying to follow the example Jesus set for us - hence our mission statement is “Aiming to be like Jesus.”

This summer, we're slowing down together. Some of our usual gatherings will look a little different, creating more space to rest, connect, and simply be together. So make plans, share meals, enjoy community, and most of all, spend time with Jesus.

We pray this summer is one of rest, renewal, and deeper relationship with God.

➡️Looking towards a future beyond foodbanks

🥳 This month, Chelmsford Foodbank celebrates another year of serving our community.

💚While we're proud to have supported local people through times of crisis, our ambition has always been bigger than providing emergency food. Like the Trussell Trust network, we believe everyone should be able to afford the essentials, without needing a foodbank.

💚Our Foodbank is special: through our dedicated teams, and linking up with other local partners, we have seen a small decline in the number of pekple needing our support. While many people still face significant challenges, fewer emergency food parcels being needed is a positive step towards the future we all want to see – one where foodbanks are no longer necessary.

✅Alongside providing emergency food, we continue to work with local organisations to help people access advice, support and services that address the causes of hardship.

💚Thank you to every volunteer, donor, referral partner and supporter who has helped us work towards a stronger community where everyone has enough to live on.
