Chelmsford Cathedral Flower Guild Chelmsford Cathedral Flower Guild was formed in 1970 and decorates the Cathedral weekly in accordance with the Religious calendar.

Our aim is to enhance the beauty of our wonderful Cathedral with God’s gift of flowers.

What a very busy day yesterday arranging in the small dining room at Hylands House for the National Flower Show!
Our theme this year is 'Native American Base Camp' and we were provided with some great props and one we made.
All our flower arrangements are arranged sustainably in water using a range of foam free mechanics i.e chicken wire, wire frames and mesh cages.

For Easter 2026

The Flower Guild were busy on Saturday morning arranging flowers . All the flowers are arranged without floral foam, in water using a variety of sustainable floral mechanics including chicken wire, moss, frames, mesh cages and glass jars.

Thank you to everyone who donated in memory of their loved ones. Their names are all recorded in a special book located by the South door.
