We need to get a smallish oak tree(6ft) in a large pot from Leek to St Andrews Church within the next 2 weeks for the "A Walk through Creation" event taking place 9th - 11th July.

If anyone can help (possibly small trailer and car) it would be very much appreciated

An Open Letter to the Cheddleton Community.

Since I took on the role of Community Engagement Lead at St Andrews Methodist Church and Church Lead for The Gathering just 9 months ago, I have had the privilege of being able to meet with and begin to work with hundreds of local people.

Whether that be through one of our regular Dabble and Do sessions where we are able to engage with local children and families. Our Mixed Blessings coffee mornings, the work of our local Pastoral Visiting Team or visits to Ernvale House Care Centre (plus many others). I have met with people who are as keen as I am on the idea of developing this community.

Unfortunately, I have also witnessed in the last 9 months the withdrawal of funding or the closure of several vital charitable services that have been offered to this community. Whilst for many, these things won’t make much difference, there are those (and some of our most vulnerable) that have been deeply impacted by the changes that have either already happened or are continuing to happen.

Are one of the many people that have been impacted, someone in need for another reason, or just someone who would love to get involved in being able to help develop this wonderful community further? If so, I would love to speak with you to see how we at St Andrews and The Gathering can help make a difference.

There are already several projects in the works, as well as an exciting summer of activities planned for the community to engage with. But, with your help we would like to be able to do more. Please do reach out if this is something you are interested in.
