“It doesn’t matter how badly you started in life, God has you in his agenda”

The question I have asked so many times is, why include such a boring story to read in the bible?

Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In the begot story, boring as it might be, God shows us his mercies. The women who are listed in God’s agenda to bring salvation to the world, those included in the greatest story ever written, ”the so God loved the world that He gave his only begotten son”, are the women who had it worse in their lives.

Bathsheba, violated by the king against her will. R***d, degraded and pulled away from her husband; Tamara forced into prostitution by the system and written off; Rahab and Ruth troubled by life circumstance, and Ruth to the point of becoming a beggar. They endured moments that have driven many to commit su***de, and yet, they held on to hope and mercy to rewrite their stories and yes it did.

It doesn’t matter what you have or are going through. If only you can hold on to hope and faith. If only you can take it in your heart that because Jesus lives life is worth the living “ just because he lives”. You will receive the assurance that you can face a better tomorrow.

May God move on your behalf in Jesus name.

“Four things that can prevent you from being a pain”

When you check the meaning of the term “being a pain” it simply means “being annoying and unappreciated when around”

Have you ever had such a person in your life, that every time you meet them they cause you so much grief and you just simply wish them to go away? Jabez was such a person and he knew that he was a pain. In his quest to break the yoke of pain Jabez discovered that he needed four things in his life

To stop being a pain, Jabez did not need lots of money, Jabez did not need to get married and Jabez did not need to know a top politician. All he needed was
1. For God to bless him
2. For God to enlarge his territory
3. For God to be with him
4. For God to keep him from evil

Today, when you probe into the death of Christ, you will find out that he came to actually offer anyone who believes in him, these thing. Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians 1:3, he wrote “Praise be to the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us … with every spiritual blessings in Christ. For you to be saved, you have to call on the name of Jesus. And David says in Psalm 118:5 anyone who calls on the lord in distress, the lord answers him and enlarges his place.

This is interesting, and it can’t just get better than this; Christ before he was taken to heaven clarified to the believers in Matthew 28:19-20 “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Paul in addressing the believers in Thessalonica in chapter 3:3, assured them that the Lord they had believed in and accepted, was faithful and he was going to keep his promise to strengthen them and protect them from the one that orchestrate evil.

You have all what Jabez needed to break through, to do well and succeed. It was all accomplished at the cross. The task is yours to realise this and claim it. Caleb waited for 45 year before claiming and asking to receive what was already his ( Joshua 14:12). Don’t wait for such a long time. Rise up now and act to take hold of what is yours
