🔥🍔 IT HAPPENED. 🍔🔥

The grills were fired up, the buns were buttered, and the sausages met their smoky destiny.
Laughter filled the air (along with the smell of slightly charred burgers).

We came, we cooked, we conquered… and then we went back for seconds.
Thanks to everyone who came and made it a day of full plates and fuller hearts. ❤️

Yesterday was “Here I am.”
Today it’s “Here we are”—gathered, listening, not polished, but present.

What is God doing with us right now as a church?

Honestly… it’s messy.
We don’t always know.
But we’re starting to see that maybe that’s the point.

We used to say we weren’t traditional—but looking back, we clung to a lot more structure than we thought.
We had our unwritten rules:
Sing during communion.
End with a song.
Preach every third Sunday.
Always start with a mic and a welcome.

Turns out we had blind spots everywhere.

But something’s shifting.
God is drawing us into something more alive, more honest—more like a body than a programme.

Not everyone comes the same.
Not every Sunday feels tidy.
But maybe real church was never supposed to.

We’re learning to let go of auto-pilot and shift into manual.
To show up with our whole selves.
To be comfortable with the unknown.

Because maybe that’s exactly where God meets us—
Not in the polished plan,
But in the present moment
Where we open our hearts and say,
Here we are.

Ever feel like your mind is stuck in yesterday or racing toward tomorrow… and the present just slips by?

“Here I am.”

It’s something people say to God in the Bible—Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Isaiah, even Ananias.

In Hebrew, it’s hineni—and it means more than “I’m here.”
It means: I’m present. I’m listening. I’m open. I’m yours.

It’s not just about surrender.
It’s about presence.
We don’t live in the past.
We can’t live in the future.
God meets us in the now.

So maybe today, in the middle of everything pulling at you—pause, breathe, and say it:

Here I am.

Some days just feel hard to navigate, but it’s in those moments when we need to lift our heads, look to God, open His Word and we will find the strength that He gives which brings life and new hope.
