'SVP Members of our Parish, Tom and Catherine, will be raising money for the St. Vincent de Paul Society by participating in a pilgrimage to walk 100km to Santiago de Compostella from Portugal, in April 2026. They need to raise £3000, and every penny raised will go to the SVP, 50% to Chard SVP Conference and the remainder to the National SVP.

Friday 31st October For the 3rd year running, Chard Churches Together will hold a peace vigil, outside the Baptist Church on 31st October at the Town centre Halloween event. People who are at the event are invited to light a battery candle for world peace and receive a little cross sticker, and Christian book marks and booklets The Catholic Women’s friendship Group invite you to join us in lighting a candle in your home this Halloween and find a quiet moment to pray that God Empower us to be a bright light in a dark world, reflecting Gods love, compassion, and grace.
