Join us at St Thomas Becket Church on 23rd August at 6pm.

As many of us know that Alan and Sally Tideswell are retiring at the end of August I know their ministry has been so important to so many people over the years, so I couldn't let them go without saying a proper thank you.

So, on the 23rd August at 6 pm, we'll be holding a special service of thanks for Alan and Sally and an introduction to the new Jepson family who will be carrying on their well established funeral business.

There will be tea, coffee, and cake after the service in the Becket Room in Church and drinks after at The Old Pack Horse.

Thank you so much, the residents and friends of Chapel-en-le-Frith are amazing, we have reached our goal of Β£5000 for the new stained glass window and it is installed in the bell tower at St Thomas Becket Church for all to see.
The window was the idea of Fran Cohen and together with John Lomas they stepped out in faith and made it happen.
Heartfelt thanks to all, we are forever grateful πŸ™πŸ½ Please pop by and take a look. The church is open every day in August.

1225 - the year that the foresters petitioned the Earl of Derby who granted permission for a chapel of ease. Previously local people had to travel to Hope for weddings, funerals etc. it took over a day to get there.
Thomas Becket church was consecrated on 7th July 1226.
This new stained glass window will add to the history of Chapel-en-le-Frith for generations to come.
