Welcome to Pentecost Sunday and the conclusion of the Global Thy Kingdom Come prayer movement for 2026. Today we celebrate the Gift of the Spirit given for all peoples.
Do keep praying for your 5 individuals to come to know who Jesus is the days ahead. It will happen in God's timing - we just need to be persistent and believe that God's Spirit of Power will bring about transformation, as the Holy Spirit comes afresh, filling us with God’s love and drawing our Five individuals closer to Him through the relationships we have with them. Many blessings Ailsa.

Day 11 - Pentecost - The Spirit of Power ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would come afresh, filling us with God’s love and drawing our Five closer to Him.

Almighty God,
Your ascended Son has sent us into the world to preach the good news of Your kingdom: inspire us with Your Spirit and fill our hearts with the fire of Your love, that all who hear Your Word may be drawn to You, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen 🙏

Today is the last day of prayer for our 5 friends to come to know Jesus. Tomorrow we will celebrate the Gift of the Spirit coming into our lives, but today we think about how the Good News of Jesus has been shared across the generations for over 2000 years. Time, the world and life has changed so much in that period and yet the core message of faith has not changed - "Christ has died, Christ has risen. Christ will come again".
God deeply loves the world - both creation and human - and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be a bridge between us and God so we can live in relationship.
Christianity is a relational faith. We pass on the core facts through relationships. Through nurturing and mentoring. Through sharing the creeds and festivals. Do pray for families - that parents, siblings and grandparents will have the wisdom and faith to share the Good News of Jesus, even if it is rejected. The seeds of faith planted - God will nurture in the future. Many blessings Ailsa .

Day 10 - The Spirit Through Generations ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would pour out faith across every generation and draw our Five into God’s family.

We ask that You send the Holy Spirit as a holy offering to the holy church.
As we assemble, give to all the saints the fullness of the Holy Spirit for the confirmation of true faith so that we may praise and glorify You through Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom glory and honour to the Father and the Son with the Holy Spirit in Your holy church are Yours now and forever!

Amen 🙏

[Hippolytus of Rome, ca. 170–ca. 235]

Guess what - evangelism is a big word that so often puts us off or causes us to retreat. All it means is sharing the "good news" of Jesus life, death and resurrection, by what we do every day and the relationships we have with people. Be authentic in how you live, build trusting friendships with people both inside and outside of the church and keep praying for people.
Just a thought have you shared with the 5 individuals you are praying for that you are praying for them? Sharing might be a way to show how much you genuinely care for them. Blessings Ailsa

Day 9 - The Spirit of Evangelism ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would help us respond to God’s prompting and become faithful witnesses to our Five.

Lord,
grant that I may always allow myself to be guided by You,
always follow Your plans, and perfectly accomplish Your Holy Will.
Help me respond to the slightest prompting of Your Grace,
so that I may be Your trustworthy instrument for Your honour.
May Your Will be done in time and in eternity by me, in me, and through me.

Amen 🙏

Here's another of those buzz words that are shared so often today - "empowerment!" Empowerment for a Christian is a little different to how so many in our society use that word. Rather than emphasizing self-sufficiency or personal glory, Christian empowerment is all about the ability to love, serve, and uplift others through the Holy Spirit. It focuses on servant leadership, nurturing disciples, and spiritual growth that brings strength through weakness as we rely on God's grace.
Spiritual empowerment is a divine gift from God, not a personal achievement. We know we can do all things through Christ - so pray for, love and be humble to the 5 individuals you are praying for and trust the Spirit to bring them to a point of knowing Jesus in God's time. Blessings Ailsa

Day 8 - The Spirit of Empowerment ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would empower us to reflect Christ’s love and hope to our Five.

We beseech thee, Master, to be our helper and protector.
Save the afflicted among us; have mercy on the lowly; raise up the fallen; appear to the needy; heal the ungodly; restore the wanderers of Thy people; feed the hungry; ransom our prisoners; raise up the sick; comfort the faint-hearted.

Amen 🙏

[Clement of Rome, 1st Century]

What's God sharing with you? Can you see a task that needs doing? Or something new that our church could start to do. Sometimes the words leader and leadership put us off - when really what it needs is a bit of vision, creativity and a willing to say "I'll give it a go". May be coordinator or host are words that might be a better fit. Give it some thought and see what God might be saying. Perhaps one of the 5 people your are praying for has a talent that they could share through volunteering. Why not ask them. Blessings Ailsa

Day 7 - The Spirit of Leadership ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would lead us closer to God and help us carry our Five loved ones with faith.

My life flows on in endless song,
above earth’s lamentation.
I catch the sweet, though far-off hymn that hails a new creation.
Through all the tumult and the strife,
I hear that music ringing.
It finds an echo in my soul.
How can I keep from singing?

Amen 🙏

Are you drowned out by the voices of the world around you? Worried by the news feeds? The expectations and all that needs to be crammed into your day? Find 5 minutes to just stop and be still and ask the Spirit to help you listen out for God's small voice and the peace it brings. Blessings Ailsa

Day 6 - The Spirit and the Still Small Voice ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would meet our Five in the stillness and help them hear the gentle whisper of God.

When the heart is hard and parched up,
come upon me with a shower of mercy.
When grace is lost from life,
come with a burst of song.
When tumultuous work raises its din on all sides shutting me out from beyond,
come to me, my lord of silence, with Thy peace and rest.
When my beggarly heart sits crouched, shut up in a corner, break open the door, my king, and come with the ceremony of a king.
When desire blinds the mind with delusion and dust, O Thou Holy One, Thou Wakeful, come with Thy light and Thy thunder.

Amen 🙏

Are you still praying for 5 very important people in your life to come to know Jesus. Keep going. God likes persistent prayer. Have the confidence to believe it. Blessings Ailsa

Day 5 - The Spirit of Confidence ✨

Today, let us pray that the Holy Spirit would help us respond to God’s call and share the Good News with our five loved ones.

Lord, give me what You are requiring of me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen 🙏
