Castleford Youth are heading on a weekend away. It will be a chance to slow down, to step away from the noise and to make space for God.

We’re having four days of adventure, friendship, reflection and exploring faith as we head to Holy Island and make space for God

On Friday 21st August at 7pm, we will be inviting family and friends to join us for a LIVE Online Celebration of YSCA 2026.

Please share this poster with your family, friends and Church family as we would love as many people as possible to share in what an amazing week we’ve had at YSCA 2026.

The poster will be shared with all churches in the upcoming weekly Divisional newsletter as we know many Corps/Churches organise an YSCA Celebration watch party.

Join us for our Children’s & Youth weekend picnic!

Tomorrow after our 10am Morning Worship we’ll be heading to Queens Park, Castleford for a church picnic, starting at 12:30pm.

Bring your own picnic, a blanket or camping chairs, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon together with friends. There’ll be plenty of time to catch up, play games, and celebrate all that God has been doing throughout the weekend.

Whether you’ve been involved in the weekend activities or are simply looking for a friendly afternoon out, everyone is welcome!

A fun-filled morning of crafts, games, creativity and discovering God’s love together.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: CASTLEFORD SALVATION ARMY

Following further storm damage sustained today, we have unfortunately had to close our hall once again while further assessments and essential repair work are carried out.

Although the damage is not as severe as before, it has affected the electrical systems, a significant area of the carpet, and our accessible toilet. Contractors and surveyors have confirmed that the building cannot be used safely over the coming days.

As a result, our Sunday worship will not take place at the hall.

Instead, we will gather in Queen's Park, Castleford from 10:00am for a time of fellowship and encouragement together.

(Next to the children's play area)

There will be games and drinks available, so please bring a chair and join us as we spend time together as church family.

We know this is disappointing news after recently returning to our building, but we are thankful that we can still gather together and continue to support one another during this latest setback.

We appreciate your continued prayers, patience and encouragement as we work with contractors and insurers to restore the hall once again.
