Calling all women, girls, Mums, daughters, Grans, aunts...our Ladies Friendship Evenings are back next Thursday! 👩💜
We are looking forward to another great year of friendship and faith. 🥰✝
We are delighted that our good friend Mrs Eva Baxter is back with us, this time she is taking on the character of local hymn writing legend, Mrs Cecil Frances Alexander. 🎼🎵🎶
As C. F. Alexander is brought to life, we will enjoy finding out more about this amazing lady. We might even sing one or two of her well known hymns! 📖🎶
Supper will be served for everyone afterwards, come along and bring others. All welcome! 💜

September is here, and all the "back to..." that it brings! It's certainly back to schedule in our fellowship as our activities start up soon after the summer break. Our September bulletin has all the details and you can see that it's all about Hope. What ever September brings, may we remember that it is the God of hope who alone can fill us with joy and peace.
This evening will see us gather at 7.30pm for a time of Bible Study and Prayer led by Pastor Jude. All welcome!

As we move into August, do remember our Sunday morning services at 11am. We have some guest speakers coming this month, and we look forwards to being blessed through them.
Our Pastor is taking a few weeks off as he enjoys some family time with his wife and three young boys...Zara, Micah, Noah and Isaac will keep him more than busy!!! 🩷🩵🩵🩵 We wish them a great time of true soul-refreshing.

Today we are all heartbroken. We are saddened to share the news that our much loved sister, Jill Porter, is no longer with us, but we rejoice that she has gone to be with her beloved Saviour. Jill was beyond special to us all. As a couple she and David had an energy and fervour for life that took them all over the country and further afield. No wheelchair would get in the way!
Jill's love of children kept her involved in our J4U (Jesus for You) children's club where she would faithfully share Bible lessons with the boys and girls.
Her love of friendship evangelism spurred her to be instrumental in our May "Walk n Talks", it was Jill who arranged our speakers and sought out individuals with testimonies of God's saving grace through all of life's challenges.
Jill's faith was lived out loud through her daily walk with God and her interactions with all in her circle. She loved God's Word and loved to sing His praises, keeping us all in tune!
To say that we will miss Jill is a huge understatement. She was the heartbeat of our fellowship and the best friend to everyone, young and old. Our confidence is that of Jill's, that she is in her eternal home, walking and leaping and praising God and those who know her Saviour will see her in Glory.
Our thoughts and prayers are with with her husband David, and her Dad and Mum, David and Yvonne, all part of our fellowship, and also her brother Robin, who along with Julie and Cara, are great friends of us all.

After all the buzz about our building this week, don't forget that our Sunday 11am service continues as usual tomorrow! Pastor Jude is beginning a short series for July, speaking on "The Heart of Worship" and all are welcome to come along!
We can't promise all the action songs 🙌💪 from our Holiday Bible Club, and there may not be a quiz...but there will be juice and biscuits afterwards, or a cuppa for the grown ups!! ☕🍪

What are we going to do with ourselves?
The banner is down, the bunting is away, the Baptist Youth Team have left us...after the excitement of our Family Night and our farewell breakfast, it's a wrap. 😢
A final thank you to all our families for supporting our events during the week. We just loved having your children, tweens and teens as we shared the Good News with them! 🥰📖🎼
To our BYE Team; Niall, Amy, Joel, Lucy and Sam, we truly could not have done it without you. Each of you has worked so hard this week and invested so much into young lives. We have loved having you with us.👏🙏🙏🙏💙🩷💙🩷 💙

Our final afternoon Holiday Bible Club, and it was great! Sam taught us how God kept Daniel strong even when he had to go against the new King. Daniel ended up in the Lions' Den, but God kept him safe, and even the King was amazed! Our key point was that God Rules Over All. Our lion-beanbag quiz and our lion craft had us all ready for ice-pops! 🦁🦁🦁
We're back for our Family Night this evening, and our Brave Adventurers Trail about town!
