The Society of St John the Wonderworker, the Diocesan society for the promotion of the Western Rite, was blessed to be able to celebrate, at the invitation of the Chapter and Canon Precentor, Holy Mass in the Use of Sarum this past Saturday. Mass was celebrated in the Galilee Chapel at Durham Cathedral, beside the relics of the Venerable St. Bede, and in the presence of Bishop James of Whithorn, Synodal Vicar to the Diocese, who also acted as cantor. Ss. Mary, Cuthbert, and Bede pray unto God for us!
