Today was BELL SUNDAY! This day was selected as the closest Sunday to St Dunstan's Day, he is known as the Patron Saint of Bellringers due to his experimentation in early forging of bells in the 900’s AD. The oldest bell at Ansford dates back to 1350. This is an opportunity to promote a day where the contribution of bells and Bellringers to the life of the Church is recognised. Here at St Andrew's Church Ansford, we welcomed the Bruton Ringers who were taking part in the Great Cary Branch Ring in which 245 bells in 44 towers were rung within the Bruton & Cary Deanery! The Bruton Ringers also visited Batcombe, Bruton, Shepton Montague, Pitcombe, Arlington & Castle Cary. Many thanks to all who took part on this special day. Bellringers of Bruton

Messy Church next Saturday (25th April), 3.30pm at All Saints' Church. The theme is the Wedding at Cana.
What do we do? We listen to a story from the bible and we have craft tables where we make all sorts of different things connected to the story. After that we get together and chat about what we've been doing, say a prayer and sometimes we'll learn a song. Then we all sit down together and have some food before we go home.
Everyone is welcome to join us, but we do need children to bring an adult with them.
