Castle Cary Methodist Church

Castle Cary Methodist Church Our purpose 'to worship God and to make His love known'. Join us at 10.30 on Sundays for worship and sunday school. Evening services also happen twice a month.

We are a Christian church and part of a group of churches known as the Somerset Mendip Circuit. We aim to welcome people of any age at whatever stage in their journey of Christian faith. We have been growing steadily in recent years but have plenty of room for you. Typically around fifty of us meet regularly for worship on Sunday mornings. We have a wide representation of age groups with a strong

Junior Church for the under 11’s , a youth fellowship for the 11-18s and home groups for anyone who wants to join. Our worship varies from a traditional Methodist to a more informal, contemporary style. Praise and healing services have become a valuable part of the life of the church too. We are committed to ensuring that you receive a warm, friendly welcome. As followers of Christ we do this by:

•Providing opportunities for all to discover Christ as Lord and Saviour.

•Welcoming everyone and allowing them to discover, develop and use their gifts and abilities, and enabling them to live as His followers in the community.

•Showing through worship, prayer, teaching and love for all that God is entirely relevant today.

•Supporting prayerfully, practically, emotionally and financially local, national and international needs in line with the teachings of Christ.

Our morning service for Pentecost next week isn’t at our own church, so our children and young people explored Pentecost a week early. The younger children learned about the gifts God gives us through the Holy Spirit, while the older group worked through an escape room to explore the Pentecost story.

This Christian Aid Week, we are supporting families facing hunger in Nairobi. Parents like Fridah are growing food in small city spaces so their children can eat. With tools, seeds and training, families can plan for the future. Please give what you can this Christian Aid Week.
