An incredibly misleading poll.It's well established that many believe the term 'assisted dying' actually involves offering terminal patients conventional healthcare such as pain relief. Referring to proposed legislation as 'assisted su***de ' is a more accurate description.Modern, accessible Palliative care should mean no one should 'suffer intolerably'.Establishing a 'right to die' in law , in practice becomes a duty to die for our elderly,disabled and vulnerable citizens, as we have seen in other countries.

What a sad day for France as they celebrate abortion becoming a 'constitutional right'.The message enthusiastically proclaimed : 'your body belongs to you'.In reality of course the message is ; 'your babies body belongs to you, to end his or her life as you choose' .This reality now enshrined and protected by the French state is no cause for celebration.

Freedom of expression and freedom of assembly are protected human rights safeguarded under the Human Rights Act & Good Friday agreement These bye -laws seek to undermine these basic free speech rights and will give Belfast City Council the power to bann activities they don't like imposing hefty fines. Effectively controlling what we can see and hear in our city centre. Public nuisance laws already exist.It appears a major aim of the council is to bann pro life stalls and street preaching.This is in stark contradiction of what a truly pluralist society and a healthy democracy should be.
