Great news for students at Carluke High School! 👏

We are super excited to let you know about a brand new Scripture Union Scotland group starting TOMORROW in Carluke High.

The group will be led by one of our youth, Miriam, who is an S6 at the school and has trained to be an SU group leader.

We are super proud of Miriam and are sure this group will be a huge success.

Please share this post and if you/your kids would like to study the bible, learn more about Jesus and make some new friends at school then SU lunch club is the place to be. 🥳

🌟 New Sermon Alert: A Generous People! 🌟

We are excited to share the final message in our three-part series on 'Church Membership' from Dave Emmerson at Calvary Carluke!

In this teaching, we explore how membership is not about filling out forms, but a mutual gospel partnership between the church and its people. We look at:

The Church's Commitment: How leadership is called to shepherd, teach, and equip the body.

The Member's Role: The beauty of serving, worshipping, and witnessing together as a unified body.

A Lifestyle of Generosity: Understanding how giving - of our time, talents, and resources - is a heartfelt form of worship and response to God's grace.

If you call this your church home, we invite you to join us in this meaningful commitment as we look forward to the future together! And for everyone else we hope this encourages you as you consider your own church connection ✝️

Please pray for the family, friends and fellowship following their loss of Pastor Robert at Big Church Festival. Lord bring your comfort 🙏

To all friends, family, church members, and everyone who knew and loved Pastor Robert,

It is with a deeply heavy heart that we share the sad news that our beloved Pastor Robert passed away yesterday, 28th August 2026

We are mourning, grieving, praying, and trusting in the Lord during this incredibly difficult time. There are many things we may never fully understand, and our hearts may struggle to make sense of what has happened. Yet, even in our deepest sorrow, we continue to trust in the sovereignty of God.

Pastor Robert was a faithful servant of God, a loving husband to Isay, a devoted and caring father to Ellie, and a blessing to so many people whose lives he touched. His life, his faith, his love, and his service to God will never be forgotten.

We take comfort in believing that he is now home with the Lord, free from suffering and resting in eternal glory. We hold on knowing that he hears these precious words:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

God’s Word reminds us:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
— Isaiah 55:8–9

We may not understand God’s timing or His will, and His plans may not always look the way we expected or desired. But we choose to believe that He is still working, even in the midst of our pain.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

“Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭57‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

In our latest teaching, Stuart Wilson shares that church membership isn't just about attendance - it's about shared discipleship and active participation.

We explored four key responsibilities for a healthy, vibrant church family:

1️⃣ Gathering regularly to worship, pray, and encourage one another
2️⃣ Staying teachable by focusing on God's Word and speaking truth in love
3️⃣ Serving willingly by using our unique gifts to build up the body
4️⃣ Walking humbly, protecting unity, and pursuing restoration together

A healthy church isn't built by spectators, but by members who love, support, and take responsibility for one another. Let's keep growing together! ✝️
