Christ the Good Shepherd was established on Easter Sunday 2022, continuing the work of the Our La

dy of Walsingham Mission, which served for seven years. We are an affirming, independent Catholic community rooted in the historic faith and united by the Holy Eucharist. Our members come from many walks of life married and single, LGBTQ+ and straight, young and old, from diverse cultural and social backgrounds yet we are one body in Jesus Christ. We are a parish to the Progressive Catholic Church, a worldwide Old Catholic jurisdiction guided by bishops in apostolic succession and committed to inclusive ministry, sacramental worship, and the Gospel for today’s world. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here.

🌹 FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY 🌹
8th September

Today the Church rejoices in the birth of Mary, the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the woman whose humble “Yes” to God would help change the course of human history.

In Mary we see a life of faith, courage, gentleness and complete trust in God. Her birth was the quiet dawn before the coming of Christ, the Light of the World.

As we celebrate her nativity, may we ask Our Blessed Mother to lead us ever closer to her Son and teach us to say, with the same faith and love:

“Let it be with me according to your word.”

🙏 Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
🌹 Blessed Virgin Mary, lead us to Jesus.
🕯️ Queen of Heaven, pray for the Church and for our world.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
