Newtown Methodist Church

Newtown Methodist Church We are part of the North Cumbria Circuit. We meet to worship on Sunday at 4pm and for many activities during the week. Very family friendly church.

Welcome to Newtown Methodist Church's page. We are a very family friendly church where you will be made welcome. We have a number of groups that meet weekly:
A very active toddler group who meet on a Tuesday at 1:30pm, followed by 'Stitches' - our community sewing group. A craft group meets on a Wednesday at 10am.
'Who let the Dads out' This is a group for dads, grandads/ male carers to c

ome with their toddlers. The toddlers have lots of toys to play with or activities to do whilst the dads enjoy a bacon roll with tea or coffee and Saturday papers. This group meets on the 3rd Saturday of every month.

I’m sure this will be a great event for families. Do go if you can.

‘Family Fun in Church’
At yesterdays ‘Family fun in Church’ we followed Joseph into Egypt. Into Potiphar’s house and then into prison. There he interpreted dreams and was soon interpreting dreams for Pharaoh. He became 2nd in command in Egypt and was overseeing the distribution of food during the famine where he was reunited with his brothers. Hymn’s, prayers and Deacon Mark Attwood helped us all understand the story. We searched for the missing goblet, and then decorated our own. Joseph was given hair in preparation for our next edition of the story. We were looking for the lonely heart and of course we concluded with tea / coffee / juice sandwiches, buns, sausage rolls and more with time to chat. Please check our WhatsApp page or Face Book page for details of our next ‘Family Fun in Church’ as this co-insides with the Jubilee celebrations.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us for all the fun.
