Arthuret Church Arthuret Parish Church in Longtown Cumbria is dedicated to St Michael and All Angels.

The church was built in 1609 on the site of churches dating back to 5th Century.

Invitation to attend a Consultation Meeting on the Brampton Deanery’s proposal for a Mission Community in the Esk Parishes
All Parishioners, congregations, and PCC members of The Esk Parishes - Arthuret, Kirkandrews on Esk and Nicholforest churches, together with members of the Longtown Community Church; neighbouring churches and members of other denominations in the Longtown area are invited to attend a Consultation Meeting to be held in Arthuret Church on Monday, 5th February 2024 at 7pm.
At the Meeting the Archdeacon and Rural Dean together with members of the Brampton Deanery Steering Group are seeking the views of as many people as possible on the Brampton Deanery’s proposal for a single Mission Community in the Brampton Deanery.
The Steering Group are holding Consultation Meetings throughout the Deanery. Please come along to hear details of the Brampton Deanery’s proposal and how it could affect our churches in the future.
Coffee will be available from 6.45pm

The Rev. Eric Robinson is retiring as Priest in charge of The Esk parishes this Sunday, 28th January.
All are invited to come along to Arthuret Church for the 10:30 service and help Eric celebrate his retirement and say farewell. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Arthuret Church now has all the permissions in place and are pleased to inform everyone that the Garden of Remembrance is ready for the interment of ashes. There will be a Dedication at the end of the Sunday Service on 16th July at 10.30am. Please join us. Anyone with ashes of family members waiting to be interred should contact Rev Eric Robinson at the Rectory on 01228 791338.

Arthuret Church will be open on Saturday 17th September from 11am to 4pm for folk to sign the ‘Book of Remembrance’ and to spend time in quiet reflection and prayer should they wish to do so.
A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for Her late Majesty will be held in the Church on Sunday 18th at 10:30am
