Back from the Brink: The Church Needs a New Reformation!

When the wolves are leading the flock, it's time to come back to the Word…

Something has gone wrong in the modern church. We have the lights, the noise, the slogans and the smiles — but where is the Word? Where is the call to repent, to obey, to walk worthy?

Paul saw it coming. With tears he warned the elders at Ephesus: For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock [Acts 20:29 KJV]. Not wolves outside the door — wolves in the pulpit. And the Lord Jesus said it plainly: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves [Matthew 7:15 KJV]. A wolf looks like a sheep. He just isn't feeding the flock — he's feeding on it.

So is the church doomed? If it follows the wolves, yes — because it has left its foundation. But hear the hope. The same Lord who warns us calls us home: ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein [Jeremiah 6:16 KJV].

We don't need a revolution that tears everything down. We need a reformation that takes us back — back to the Word, back to Christ, back to basics. And it doesn't start with the wolves. It starts with you: be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only [James 1:22 KJV].

The wolves are loud. But the Shepherd's voice is louder still…
