Born Again Christians

Born Again Christians Hi, I'm Peter from Scotland! Welcome to our page, where we foster fellowship in Word & Spirit. What does it mean to be born again? All men are sinners. Absolutely!

Through Spirit-led expository teaching, we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and uplift His Church to grow in faith together. Obviously you can’t be physically ‘born again’ so we’re talking about a spiritual birth. Before we accept Christ as our Saviour we are spiritually dead to sin. We are born sinners and even if we try to be a ‘good’ person we will fall short of what God requires for an eternal

place in Heaven with Him. We are unable to enter through any works of our own or our own self righteousness. Before Jesus Christ was born, a little over 2000 years ago, God’s people were unable to enter directly into God’s presence. They were under the law and had to rely on animal sacrifices to atone for their sin. They relied on the chief priests to make atonement for them as a nation by observing religious festivals that were ordained by God. Then, Jesus Christ paid the price for mans sin once and for all on the cross at Calvary. When He submitted to the will of the Father and shed His blood on that cross He made a way for each of us to enter into God’s presence. Jesus is the mediator between man and God. When we acknowledge His sacrifice and accept Him as our personal Lord and Saviour we are ‘covered’ by the blood He shed on the cross for us. We are born again! Can anyone be born again? The Bible ~ Gods written word to us ~ says quite clearly that all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) In essence that’s what becoming a born again believer is about. It’s acknowledging sin in our life and recognising that only through Christ can we be made holy (pure) before God. Only then can we rest in the assurance that we are eternally saved. You may have come to this site out of interest in the Christian faith, just happened across it while browsing or feel you’ve been drawn to it by some external force. Whatever brought you here I pray you’ll stay a while, read the messages and listen to some of the great Bible teachings available through the links on this site. In the future I will be adding my own messages but please listen and watch the recommended media and I pray you will be blessed by them and convicted.

Britain’s Ban on Judea and Samaria

The land still belongs to the Lord ~ standing with Israel in the Word, not with every policy in Tel Aviv

Now folks, I want us to look at something that has been troubling many of the Lord’s people this week. And I want us to look at it the way we always try to look at things here, not first through the newspaper, but through the Word of God.

You see, the government in London has announced a ban on goods coming from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. They call those towns “settlements.” They speak of “ethnic cleansing.” They say this is a new approach. President Herzog of Israel has answered that it is a grave miscalculation, and that it will fall on the wrong side of history. He has also said it will hurt Palestinian workers who earn their living in those same places.

𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫?

𝐴𝑛𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑃𝑜𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑟 𝑁𝑒𝑤 𝐴𝑟𝑔𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝐴𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝑆𝑐𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒

A video by the late Dr Alan Cairns first pushed me to write on this. In March 2025 I set down a short answer: can a woman be a pastor in the New Testament church? Biblically, no. That is still my stand. This piece is the longer follow-up, because a new kind of argument is doing the rounds, and it sounds careful, humble, and Bible-loving and people are falling for it.

I love the Word of God. I have no other authority I want to stand on. If the Lord has spoken, that settles it for me. I do not want to be unkind. I do not want to quench what the Spirit is doing in a sister’s life. But I also do not want to be more spiritual than the Scriptures. The safest place in the world is still to teach the Word of God simply, and then to do what it says.

A popular argument is going around about women preaching and leading in the church. For years many of us said no. The people making the new case often say culture did not move them. They say Jesus is Lord. Then they say that after looking at the Greek and the women who served with Paul, they are no longer sure the Bible forbids it. So they allow women to preach and lead, because they do not want to muzzle someone the Lord may have called.

I understand that heart, nobody wants to stand before Jesus, especially church leaders and find out they quashed a gift. But folks, the other side of that is just as serious. I do not want to stand before Jesus and find out I handed His church flock to an office He never assigned. Uncertainty is not a new book of the Bible, where the Word is plain, we obey. Where a verse is hard, we do not use the hard part to cancel the clear part.

This is not a question of whether a woman is as valuable as a man. Of course she is. God made them male and female, both in His image. This is not a question of whether God uses women. He does, beautifully. I have watched women lead other women to Christ, raise godly children, open their homes, and pray down heaven. The question is simply this: has God given the office of pastor, elder and overseer, and the regular teaching of the gathered church, to qualified men? I believe He has. I have believed that from the Word, not from a mood.

𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐩 – 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲

The Devotional explores the biblical command to completely eradicate idolatry by examining Jehu's destruction of Baal's temple in 2 Kings 10.

It contrasts Jehu's thorough removal of false worship with his failure to address other sins, warning believers against managing sin rather than eliminating it entirely. Using the metaphor of turning a sacred site into a refuse dump, the message urges Christians to treat personal idols as unclean and irrecoverable.

The preacher emphasises that God demands total devotion and will not accept half-measures in the fight against spiritual compromise. Ultimately, the text calls for decisive action to starve sin and preserve the heart's exclusive loyalty to God.

This devotional addresses the profound pain of sudden tragedy, rejecting the notion that suffering is a direct measure of personal sin.

It emphasises that Jesus, as a man of sorrows, intimately understands human grief and draws near to those with broken hearts.

The message encourages honest lament and reliance on God's presence amidst anger, guilt, and fear, rather than suppressing emotions.

It offers hope through the resurrection, promising that God will ultimately wipe away all tears and end suffering in eternity.

Finally, it invites both the grieving and the unsaved to find peace and salvation by calling upon Jesus Christ.

Why are Christians experiencing increased spiritual pressure and demonic harassment?

Pastor Brandon Holthaus examines the reality of spiritual warfare, the growing influence of occult practices, and why faithful believers may become targets of the kingdom of darkness.

Satan wants to discourage, divide, exhaust, and silence Christians who are faithfully sharing biblical truth.

In this message, Pastor Brandon discusses:

• Why demonic activity is increasing in the last days
• How believers can unknowingly open spiritual doors
• The dangers of occult practices and false doctrine
• How spiritual attacks can produce fear, division, and discouragement
• The importance of repentance and biblical discernment
• How Christians can stand firmly in their identity and authority in Christ

Believers do not need to live in fear. We must know the Word of God, understand our position in Christ, put on the full armor of God, and remain strong in the spiritual battle.

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Why are Christians experiencing increased spiritual pressure and de...

Pastor Brandon Holthaus examines Jesus’ warning to the church of Laodicea in Revelation 3 and explains why lukewarm compromise is a serious threat to the last-days church.

What does it mean to be hot, cold, or lukewarm? How can false doctrine, cultural pressure, and spiritual complacency weaken believers?

In this message, Pastor Brandon discusses:

• The biblical meaning of the lukewarm church
• The growing compromise within modern Christianity
• The difference between the faithful remnant and the apostate church
• Why believers must protect their spiritual rewards
• How Christians can remain faithful during the last days

Jesus calls His people to hold fast to the truth and refuse to compromise. Even when the surrounding culture and much of the church drift away from Scripture, faithful believers must continue standing firmly on the Word of God.
