In February 2016, His Grace, the Archbishop of Cardiff, the Most Rev'd George Stack, gave his permission for the establishment of an Oratory of St. The community started life at Newman Hall, supplying the needs of students who lived there, together with the residents of Nazareth House. In 2019 community warmly welcomed the invitation of the Archbishop to serve the people of St. Alban-on-the-Moors Parish, Splott. Sebastian M., the superior of the community, said at the appointment, "The Oratorian community will serve St Alban's Parish by its pastoral care of the people; by faithfully offering the Mass and the sacraments and by sharing our common life of prayer with the people. We thank God for the work of the Rosminian Fathers and we commit ourselves to continue to build up the Parish." Today, the Oratory has two priests and two brothers in formation for the priesthood and one novice.

His Grace the Archbishop has today invited the Fathers and Brothers of the Cardiff Oratory to provide pastoral care and management of Newman Hall, Colum Rd. Cardiff from September 2026. Newman Hall was established by the Archdiocese of Cardiff Menevia - Archesgobaeth Caerdydd Mynyw served by the Cardiff Oratory in formation to be a Christian community living a collegiate life, regular common meals, daily Mass and prayer. The Cardiff Oratory will NOT be assuming the Chaplaincy of the University. The Fathers and Brothers will continue to live and serve at the Parish of St Alban's on the Moors, Splott, Cardiff.
