Plastic is a huge part of the carbon cycle; 8% of the oil production worldwide is used to manufacture plastic. Although we may recycle plastic, the vast majority of it still gets burnt contributing to the climate crisis, polluting the air especially in those countries hit hardest by inequality, where a lot of it is sent to be burnt. It is also littering the world, killing animals and marine life.โฃ

There are tally sheets for you to use.โฃ

You could then look at ways of reducing your plastic use. Simple ideas would be:โฃ
โข swap to solid products that require little or no packaging, e.g. soap bars and shampoo barsโฃ
โข swap sponges and โJ clothsโ for bamboo scrubbers and clothsโฃ
โข use reusable drinks bottlesโฃ
โข use reusable containers to store food instead of cling filmโฃ
โข avoid plastic bags and use plastic-free binbags.โฃ
