St David's Church, Pentwyn

St David's Church, Pentwyn We're a friendly lot at this ecumenical church. We meet in St David's Church in Wales Primary School Sunday mornings ready to welcome the old and the new!!

The church is part of the Church in Wales, Cardiff East Ministry Area. It is also a member of Cardiff East Ecumenical Partnership. Sunday morning services start at 11am and are informal and family-orientated where families are invited to worship together. A study group meets on Tuesday evenings - please contact Heather or Alex Temple-Williams for more information. There are extensive links between

the church and school; most of the church’s young people attend St David’s school and many of the parents have been involved there either now or in the past. Both clergy and lay people are also involved as governors.

Tomorrow will be a very significant day as we all join together to give thanks for the life and times of St Davids Church. Whilst it will be a very emotional service ( tissues at the ready) it should also be a day for us to remember, share and celebrate everything St Davids has given to Pentwyn and the surrounding community during its 46 years. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow and to filling the church and sharing in love and fellowship together ❤️
Service details below.

Dear Friends, it is with a heavy heart to let you all know that, following a Church Council Meeting this week, services at St Davids Church Pentwyn will be paused for the foreseeable future. This was not an easy decision to reach, but a resolution was needed.
We still have services planned which are:
Sunday 26th November: Holy Eucharist
Sunday 10th December: Christmas Eucharist
and our final service will be
Sunday 4th February 2024: Celebration Eucharist where we will be celebrating and giving thanks for 46 years (very nearly) of worship, community, love and friendship within (and beyond) the Pentwyn community.
Please spread the word about these services! Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of the services listed. Please keep St Davids Church, it’s congregation and the Pentwyn community in your prayers as we navigate this next step together keeping God as our guide.
Love and blessings to you all.

All are very welcome!

This Sunday our two school congregations will be celebrating Harvest. Come and be part of these special services, as we gather to give thanks and appreciate the wonderful gift of God’s creation. Your presence would add such joy to our celebration - why not join us! 🌾

• All Saints' Llanedeyrn | 9.30am
• St David's Pentwyn | 11.00am

We'll also be gathering in our special Harvest collection of non-perishable food items and/or cash, which will go towards the work of our local food banks and food pantries as they support local families and households who are in need.

Across our other churches, our regular Sunday services will also be taking place as usual.
