Blessings for this bank holiday whether you are taking it slow or have a full filled day ahead of you! 💚

Yesterday, we had a wonderful Resurrection Kids service learning all about Josiah (you can watch the short story here https://youtu.be/zbOLxBHhvkA?feature=shared ) and getting creative with hidden messages to the Lord ✝️

Our members stayed behind after the service for a church meeting and planning session. We discussed what coming to church means to us and what might be stopping us spreading the good word 🤔

🚨 Urgent: bid voor het Midden-Oosten.

Reageer met 🙏 als je meebidt!

Open Doors roept op tot dringend gebed voor de mensen in Iran, Qatar, Israël en de Palestijnse gebieden, Syrië, Jordanië, Irak en Libanon – en in het bijzonder voor onze vervolgde broers en zussen in deze landen.

•⁠ ⁠Bid om bescherming, zodat er geen bloed van onschuldige burgers zal vloeien.
•⁠ ⁠Bid om vrede en licht voor alle landen in het Midden-Oosten.
•⁠ ⁠Bid dat christenen juist in deze situatie kracht krijgen om een licht te zijn voor hun naasten en op God blijven vertrouwen.

Al weken heerst er onrust in Iran en voeren Iran en de VS onderhandelingen. Vanmorgen waren er explosies te horen in Teheran, toen Israël verklaarde dat het een ‘preventieve’ aanval op Iran had uitgevoerd. Minister van Defensie Israel Katz riep de onmiddellijke noodtoestand uit in Israël, vanwege raketaanvallen vanuit Iran. Ook in buurlanden vinden luchtaanvallen plaats.

“Ik juich oorlog niet toe. Het is verschrikkelijk dat hele families in Iran, Israël en de landen eromheen onder het geweld lijden. Elk leven is kostbaar in Gods ogen”, deelt een Iran-expert van Open Doors. “Tegelijkertijd leeft er in de harten van Iraniërs al generaties lang een diep verlangen naar vrijheid. Ik hoop en bid dat dit een keerpunt is dat zal leiden tot herstel, hoop en vrede. Moge God licht brengen uit duisternis en vrede uit angst.”

Make space for God this year by joining one of our Lent Studies using the Methodist Church Lent Study for 2026.
Mondays on Zoom from 7.30pm - 9pm starting 23rd February
Wednesdays at Cyncoed Methodist Church from 2pm - 3.30pm starting 25th February.
All are welcome.

A gentle reflective Christmas service, for those who carry pain or loss or who struggle with the festive season.
A sacred space for those living with dark times, dark feelings - offering healing, hope and peace. All are welcome.
