GO WITH THE SLOW 🌊
This Sunday we explored Jesus’ invitation to an unhurried life.
In a world full of noise, hurry and distraction, Jesus consistently made space to be with His Father. His life was full, but never frantic.
Maybe the invitation isn’t to do more for God, but to spend more time with Him.
A few takeaways from Sunday:
🤍 If you want to experience the life of Jesus, adopt the lifestyle of Jesus.
🌿 Hurry quietly undermines almost everything that helps us grow.
📖 Silence, solitude and Sabbath aren’t religious rules. They’re healthy rhythms that create space for the Holy Spirit to transform us to become more like Jesus.
This week, why not take one small step?
☕ Read a Psalm over your morning coffee.
🚶 Take a walk without your phone.
📖 Spend ten minutes in silence before God.
🌅 Build a little more margin into your day.
🥓 Begin thinking about what a life-giving Sabbath could look like.
“Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NLT)
“Walk with me and work with me. Watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.” (The Message)
