Bradbury Grange, our local MHA care home in Whitstable, is taking part is care homes open week later this month. If you’re curious about what an MHA home is like, please feel free to visit for any of the events happening during open week. No need to book.

We're opening our doors for Care Home Open Week!

Join us between 16-18th June to meet the team and enjoy one of our activity sessions at Bradbury Grange care home in Whitstable, part of the charity MHA.

Tues 16th: Seated yoga and meditation at 2pm 🧘🏽
Wed 17th: Java Jive live band at 2pm 🎶
Thurs 18th: Morning Praise (Worship) at 11am 🙏🏽

Care Home Open Week is an annual event, organised by Championing Social Care, that aims to connect care homes with their local communities, showcasing the positive work of the care sector and providing opportunities for the public to visit and learn more about care homes.

It was great to take part in our Christian Aid service this morning. The Junior Church decorated cakes and sold them after the service raising over £130. Thank you to everyone who bought some and a big thank you to Val and all who provided cakes for decoration and sale.
The Junior Church also took their first turn on the tea & coffee rota - they worked hard serving and clearing up.

The next talk on 20th May arranged by the Contemporary Theology Group is on the hugely current topic of ‘The Trump Political Earthquake and American Faith Communities’ with a fantastic expert speaker. Thank you to everyone involved in preparing for and participating in our Easter service of worship and praise. The bare church of Good Friday was transformed into a riot of colour and beauty by the flower arrangers. The Junior Church added their touch with eggs and crosses. Our cross, with its crown of thorns removed, was draped with our prayers for people and places around the world and in our own community.
Our congregation this morning was the largest since the pandemic and the buzz of conversation over coffee and cake was lovely.
