Thanington Parish Church We're a friendly, growing church serving Thanington, on the edge of Canterbury. Welcome to Thanington Parish Church.

The friendly congregation at St Nicholas Church offer a warm welcome to all who would like to worship together on Sundays at 10am - whether you have lived in Thanington for years or have only just arrived. This historic church building has been reordered inside to make it a more welcoming and flexible space for Sunday worship; for baptisms, weddings and funerals; and for other activities. The parish of Thanington: St Nicholas is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.

This Sunday 6.30pm, gathering at St Mary Bredin Church, in Canterbury, to pray for Gods kingdom to come in our lives, in our church and in our world.

On Sunday we kick off Thy Kingdom Come - a chance to join in with the global prayer movement, praying with other local Christians. Sunday 6.30pm we’ll have a celebration service and each evening next week, a different prayer focus.

Our church quiz night is this Friday 8th May 7pm in the hall at Ashford Road Community Association. Come as a team of 4 - 6 people. Bring your own drinks and snacks. £5 per person, payable on the night. Funds raised go towards the cost of the St Nicholas Church roof repair.
