This morning with our Sunday crew, we explored the beautiful message from the Gospel of Mark 10:13–16, where Jesus welcomes the little children with open arms. Despite others trying to turn them away, Jesus made it clear how special children are to Him—taking them in His arms, blessing them, and reminding us that the kingdom of God belongs to those with hearts like theirs 💛
We brought the story to life with a fun game of Follow the Leader, helping the children understand that Jesus loves when we follow Him.
There were lots of smiles (and noise! 😄) as we sang our own version of a familiar tune: 🎶 “If Jesus really loves you, clap your hands…” 👏👏
👣 stamping feet
🙌 shouting AMEN
…and of course doing all three!
The children then enjoyed a simple colour-and-stick activity, creating lovely pictures with the message “Jesus Loves Me” at the heart ❤️
We finished our time together with the much-loved song: 🎶 “Jesus loves me, this I know… for the Bible tells me so…”
A simple message, but such a powerful one—Jesus loves each and every one of us 💕

Due to the continuing adverse weather conditions, there will be no worship at The Salvation Army in Hednesford today.
Worship will still take place at Cannock Salvation Army, although we advise caution if planning to attend, as we understand that Walhouse Street is very icey.
Think safety first.

The Salvation Army in the Cannock Chase district would like to say a very big thank you to everyone - businesses, schools & individuals - for your generous support to the Annual Toy Appeal. The Toy Appeal has now closed for 2025 and toys have been distributed to many local children in need. Thank you for reaching to others who would otherwise go without this Christmas time. May you all have a very happy Christmas and know the peace, joy & love that Jesus brings.
