St Thomas Church Huntington

St Thomas Church Huntington Sometimes called "the small Church with the big heart", St Thomas' offers a warm welcome to all. Reverend Vicky Fleming is the Vicar of the parish.

It was built in 1872 and extended in 1879 making it 150 years old this year in 2022. Formerly it was a school building before it became the village Church when new schools were built. We are part of the Cannock and Huntington parish with St Luke's Church, Cannock . WS12 4PD is the postcode.

The Huntington Place of Welcome is meeting tomorrow at St Thomas’ Church at 1.30. Come and join us for refreshments and cards games, dominoes or just a chat.
There will also be a talk from members of the Air Ambulance and a chance to ask questions about their work. Everyone welcome 😊

In preparation for this year's Remembrance event, we are creating a poppy drape to cascade over the Wheel in the Memorial Garden — a powerful and personal tribute where every poppy tells a story. This will be displayed during the Remembrance Period in November.

If you can knit or crochet poppies (up to 10cm / 100mm), we would be incredibly grateful for your time and kindness. Whether you make one or many, your contribution will be part of something truly meaningful.

A wonderful Confirmation Service was held at St Luke’s Church yesterday evening led by The Right Reverend Timothy Wambunya, Bishop of Wolverhampton. There were 4 candidates - Adrian from St Thomas’, Huntington, Thomas and Christopher from St Andrew’s Great Wyrley and Mira from St Augustine’s of Canterbury Rugeley.
It was a joyful service with some wonderful hymns and lively sermon from Bishop Tim.
There was great support from family and friends for all the candidates who were confirmed.
May God bless them in their continuing Christian journey ⛪️
