Wishaw New Kirk was formed on 1st January 2025 and is a union of the congregations of Cambusnethan Old & Morningside, St Marks and Wishaw Old Parish Church. The new congregation meets in the former Cambusnethan Old and Morningside building. Our services are held each Sunday at 11am and are led by our Locum: Lynette Jardine. Services are recorded on a camcorder and uploaded to our YouTube page late

Intimations for week beginning 7th June:

Wednesday Games Group
Come along and join the fun at the Wednesday Games Group, which meets from 1pm - 3pm in the Small Hall. New members will be most welcome.

Craft Group
The Craft Group is taking a summer break. They will restart on Wednesday 5th August and will meet on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm - 3pm in the Small Hall. If you'd be interested in joining, please give your name to Louise, Diane or Brenda.

Model / Badminton Club
The Model / Badminton Club meet on Saturday afternoons between 12 noon and 4pm

New Members
If you are interested and feel God calling you to explore becoming a member of Wishaw New Kirk, please speak to the Session Clerk or Minister. Four people have already expressed interest and it is hoped to start membership classes in the Autumn.

Magazine Articles
We need articles for the next issue of the church magazine. Poems, reflections, stories about your faith journey, quizzes, historical articles or any other appropriate materials are welcome. Please pop any material in the box in the entrance vestibule or at the hall entrance.

Recipe Book
We are compiling a recipe book for church funds. If you have a recipe that you'd like to be included, please hand it in or email to the Session Clerk, Minister or Anne Hemphill.

Flower Team
The flower team need volunteers to deliver flowers after worship to those who are housebound, sick, recently bereaved or discharged for hospital. If you are able to assist, please speak to Jean Brown or Eleanor Watson.

Tea Rota:
We are looking for volunteers to help with the teas after the service on a Sunday. The rota is currently on a 5 weekly basis. Please speak to Christine Fairbairn or Irene Adams if you can help out.

The next meeting of the Kirk Session takes place on Monday 1st June at 7pm in the Small Hall.

Communion Service
The next service celebrating the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, will be next Sunday (7th June) at 11am. All are welcome to celebrate Communion with us.

Christian Aid Retiring Collection
Thank you to everyone who donated to the retiring collection in aid of Christian Aid on Sunday 17th May. We raised £299.38, which has been passed on to Christian Aid.

Come along and join the fun at the Wednesday Games Group, which meets from 1pm - 3pm in the Small Hall. New members will be most welcome.

Queens Badge Awards
Congratulations to Christine, Anna and Emily, who were members of the former 1st Cambusnethan Girls' Brigade company on recently gaining their Queens Badge, the highest award in the Girls' Brigade. When the company folded, they continued their GB journey with 1st Shotts company.

Intimations for week beginning 17th May:

Pastoral Cover
Louise is on annual leave from Monday 11th - Monday 18th May and resumes duties on Tuesday 19th May. During this period, pastoral cover will be provided by Rev. Alastair Munro. Should you require the services of a minister during this time, please contact the Session Clerk.
