Assalamu alaykum everyone,

Just a reminder to get out and vote today. Our voices matter, and taking part in local elections is a way to protect our communities, and support policies that benefit the local area.

As Muslims, we’re encouraged to be active, responsible members of our communities and to speak up for what is right.

Even one vote can make a difference - so please make your voice count.

Please remember to take valid photo ID with you, as it’s required to vote, and polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm today.

A quick reminder about early voting for the local elections in King’s Hedges.

If you may be away on 7th May, you can vote early over the next three days on:

📍 Thursday 30th April
📍 Friday 1st May
📍 Saturday 2nd May
📍 Meadows Community Centre, 299 Arbury Road, King’s Hedges, Cambridge CB4 2JL
🕘 9am – 6pm

*Please remember to take valid photo ID when you go to vote.*

Please note that the main polling day is still 7th May between 7am and 10pm at your local polling station as per your voting card.

It is important we exercise our right to vote to ensure our voices are heard and our community is represented, especially when it comes to local issues that fall under the remit of local Councillors.

Eid-ul-Fitr 1447/2026

It has now been confirmed that Eid will be on Friday 20th March.

There will be two Jama'ats at the mosque for Salat-ul-Eid and the times are detailed below. Please come early as the below are the start times and salah will start without delay insha'Allah. Please try and do wudhu at home and park legally without blocking anyone else or obstructing any of the surrounding businesses.

1st Jama'at Maulana Abdul Gani - 9.30am

2nd Jama'at Maulana Rayhan Gani - 10.30am

Alhamdulillah Allah Almighty has enabled us to complete the Qur’an once again in Taraweeh as Ramadan 1447 draws to a close. We pray that our hearts embrace the words we have recited and that Allah Almighty accepts all of our prayers and fasting and forgives our shortcomings. Ameen.
