Yesterday we considered how Jonathon's loyalty to God wasn't always easy in 1 Samuel chapter 20.
By choosing to protect David, Jonathan's trust and faithfulness was tested.
.. his obedience had a cost, choosing between his friend and his father

❓Will we remain loyal to God when obedience costs us?
.. his faith remained strong when he couldn't see what God was doing

❓Will we trust God when we cannot see what lies ahead?
.. his loyalty was challenged when God's promises required patience

❓Will we remain faithful to God when His promises seem far off?

Yesterday Lizzie spoke to us about David, who was a musician amongst other things. Perhaps he didn't have music like in the photograph, but he would have known that his music had a plan, that it’s clear what key it’s in and how fast or loud or soft we need to play it. He found that God had a plan for his life and his descendants, and we can know that too.

Read and enjoy the passage again this week: 1 Samuel 18:1-15 and 19:1-10.

Do we trust that God has a plan for us?

Sometimes it’s hard to trust when life is challenging.

Join us on Sunday when Lizzie Herrington takes our service, continuing to look at the life of David, and how he was challenged we see God’s plan in the hard times.

The children and young people will meet for supernovas during the morning.

During the Summer, members of the church join together to walk and pray for places in our village. This month we walked and prayed around the new estates on Rampton Road and Oakington Road.
