After the splendid Pilgrimage last Sunday, we are back in our own church at 11.00am tomorrow for a service of Holy Communion. Do join us if you can when Fr Ed will be leading our worship. All welcome

We send our good wishes to all those returning to school or college this week, or going out to work for the first time - and to those preparing to leave for university later in the month. We hope all will go well for you, especially those moving to senior school from primary. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

What a special day yesterday as we participated in the 5folds Benefice Pilgrimage. The day started at All Saints' Church, Longstanton with a morning service and then those walking set off to Willingham (see photo), where people had lunch and a short act of worship. Then onto St Mary's Over for a considerable array of cakes, and making and hoisting flags for our prayers. Finally onto a very joyful "Songs of Praise" at St Andrew's Church Swavesey, all topped off with some "fizz" to end the day. Grateful thanks to everyone who joined in the services, went on the walk, cycled, drove between venues, and to the members of our own church who participated so generously in offering hospitality, prayers, music and more. We were, of course, also lucky that the weather stayed fine. Grateful thanks to our Team Rector, Stephen Dove for organising the whole event and leading us so well.

A reminder that there is no 11.00am service in our church tomorrow, Sunday 30 August because it's the day of the 5folds Benefice Pilgrimage as we move between all the four churches in our group (Longstanton, Over, Swavesey and Willingham). See the flyer below and do join us for the acts of worship in each church. Perhaps walk between a couple, or all, or cycle, drive - just join in with what you can manage and wish to do. Do join us if you can for the time in Willingham, even if nothing else is possible for you. 11.30am-2.00pm with a short time of prayer at 1.30pm. Tea and Coffee provided but bring your own lunch.

Do you like services which are a little more traditional? If so, do come along tomorrow (Sunday 23 August) at 11.00 am and join us for Morning Prayer as in the Book of Common Prayer, with hymns. All our welcome.

We wish all students receiving examination results well for today. Congratulations if you've got what you need to move onto new education or work opportunities. If things haven't gone your way, there will be other doors that will open to you, so all is not lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
