Every year as the students on team head for home we say goodbye to them at Messy Games.

Some children love to sit quietly and colour and listen to teaching and discuss their thoughts, other children don’t love these things.

Jesus invites us to a live of following Him, a life of adventure, He promises Life to the full, John 10.10, The Bible.

So we want tht children to know that God is with them running about and laughing their heads off, just as He’s with them in the quiet moments.

No leaders were hurt during this crazy time and the children themselves remained remarkably clean.

As the students prepare to leave Cambridge we gathered the HT Kids Leaders to celebrate all that God has done, to thank the team and say goodbye to those leaving.

As we lost 4 team mid year due to them having their own little ones, we didn’t have loads to say goodbye to but Grace, Sophie and Dave are all moving on and well miss them so so much.

We were joined by two of the lovely HTKids team babies to cheer us up and Banke our new Kids Pastor began work this week too- so much to give thanks for as the Lord leads some to new places He provides for us here as well.

Messy Games and Under the Sea Parties this Sunday so the children can say goodbye to the leaders showing them love by pouring baked beans and custard on their heads!!

It rained on Saturday, it poured on Monday…. but on Sunday it was sunny for the HTKids family Picnic.

Some families brought food from home, others went to Sainsburies & Macdonalds,

There was football and glitter, parachutes and pit pat.

A parent or two fell asleep while the big children played with the little ones and the leaders ran games.

We’ve much to give thanks for.

On Good Friday 130 children ran through the Sidney Sussex Gardens on an egg hunt, made Easter Nests, bracelets & caterpault cars, while our toddlers enjoyed soft play. We looked at why Jesus chose to die on the first ever Good Friday and why what happened at Easter is the rest news ever.
