On 28th November 2026 there will be a torchlit, fancy dress evening parade through the main streets of Callington (Kelliwick in Cornish). The parade will be made up of individuals, local groups and organisations, with music and dance, ending in displays in the main square of Callington, to lighten up the dark night.

As we celebrate Harvest at our Service today let us pause to remember all those in our farming communities and beyond who provide food and hold them in our prayers.

Quiet Connections Youth Group - Liskeard

After a successful pilot session in June, we're starting a weekly youth group in Liskeard on Friday evenings from 25th September

Our youth group is much like our other Meet Ups, but specifically for 14-18 year olds (school years 10-13). We'll have optional activities like colouring, word-searches, and games, and young people are welcome to bring anything that might help them settle in - maybe a book or journal or comfort items.

Ellie, the lead facilitator of these sessions, grew up in Liskeard and has been part of Quiet Connections since 2022. She established our volunteer-led adult Meet Up in Liskeard and has been running Meet Ups locally for more than three years. She is also a psychology graduate and works as a teaching assistant.

There's full information on our website at https://quietconnections.co.uk/youth-group/
