We are getting ready for St Brigid's Day - 1st February.

The patron saint of our little church was feisty and uncompromising with a huge impact. Quite a gal!

🌸 Could you spare just one morning a year? 🌸

St Brides church is a much loved, peaceful place and we’re looking for a few additional volunteers to help keep it looking its best.

The ask is simple, please could you consider joining a Rota and, just once a year, give the church a light clean and pop some fresh flowers into the altar vases.

No experience needed, definitely no pressure, it is just a small act of care that makes a big difference. Many people say they find it surprisingly calm and uplifting and it’s a lovely way to give something back to the heart of our community.

If you enjoy a bit of gentle pottering, or simply doing something kind for the community, we’d love to hear from you 💛

Please pop a comment below or send us a message. Thank you.

The church might have been a tad chilly this morning following such a lot of cold weather, but the welcome was warm at our service.

Led by Rev Becky, we continued the season of Epiphany and thought about following clues to find something worthwhile and the different kinds of clues that we are given by God to help us to build our relationship with Jesus. Then the younger members whizzed around with a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to find a hidden star.

It was really great to see long term friends and new ones too. With refreshments and lots of lovely chat.

Everyone is welcome at our informal and very family-friendly services at St Brides. Rooted in a peaceful valley with strong and enduring links to the seasonal cycle, our church and community is waiting to welcome you.

If you are coming along to our Christmas morning service (09.30 on 25th Dec), it would be great if you could bring one of the gifts that you’ve received. It doesn’t matter if it has been opened or if it is still wrapped.

See you there!

Wow!

That was amazing… the church was full of people, and also full of joy. The rafters were well and truly rattled and the spirit of Christmas was very much in evidence. Friends old and new braved the floods, and all ages between nought and ninety joined together in the fun.
