A prayer for the current situation regarding the wild fires

Loving God our Father, thank you for blessing us by giving us your wonderful world to be faithful stewards of it.

Today we being before you all those who are affected by the wildfires ravaging through our beautiful countryside, and those further afield.

We pray especially for those who have been evacuated from their homes, for those who have lost livestock and land.

We give you thanks for the firefighters, the military, and for others emergency responders who risk their own lives to bring the fires under control. Protect them and strengthen them as they serve the community.

We pray a blessing and for wisdom for all in authority as they release funds and resources, to provide shelter and other necessities to those at risk.

God our Father, protect us, your world, and those who are battling to save it at this time.

In your precious name we pray,

Please join us in praying for the nation, as we hear news of the Prime Minister's leadership resignation🙏

Dear Lord,

We thank you that you rule over nations and your governance is one of peace, righteousness and justice.

As we adjust to news of Sir Keir Starmer, the prime minister, resigning we ask you would be with those in positions of leading the nation during a transition of leadership. We ask for your wisdom at this time and for godly guidance for our nation.

May your church continue to play a key role in modelling unity in local communities and caring for those most in need at this time.
