🎄🌟Gwasanaeth Nadolig / Christmas Service 🎄🌟

Croeso cynnes i bawb, a very warm welcome to everyone to Groeswen Chapel next Sunday at 2.30pm for our Christmas service. This year, hopefully for the last time, the service will be held in our vestry, and as ever will be in the very capable and experienced hands of Sioned and her team of Christmas elves!
A warm welcome to all, mae croeso cynnes iawn i bawb.

For those who can't attend, the congregation and Trustees of Groeswen Chapel would like to wish you all a merry and peaceful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2026.

🥫🥦🍞🍁Diolch hwyr i bawb a ddaeth i Wasanaeth y Cynhaeaf yn ein capel ar ddydd Sul, 12 Hydref. Roedd y bwyd a ddaeth i law oddi wrth ein gynulleidfa yn brawf o galon fawr ein cymuned fach. Diolch i Nicky am y blodau hyfryd, i bawb ddaeth i ymuno â ni, am y r holl roddion o fwyd a diod, ac i'r Parch Gareth Hughes am ein harwain mewn pregeth a gweddi. Fel arfer, roedd yn hyfryd mwynhau danteithion a phaned wedi'r gwasanaeth, diolch i bawb a'u paratodd. Aethpwys â'r rhoddion i Eglwys Presbyteraidd St Cenydd, sy'n cynnal banc bwyd bob dydd Mercher. Diolch eto.🙏

🥫🥦🍞🍁A belated diolch yn fawr to all who came to our Harvest Service on 12 October. The offerings reflect the big hearts of our small community. Thank you to Nicky for the beautiful flowers in the vestry, to everyone who came and brought food, and to the Rev Gareth Hughes for his sermon. As always, it was lovely to enjoy some refreshments together afterwards too. The food was donated to St Cenydd Road Presbyterian Church who have a food bank on a Wednesday. Diolch / Thank you🙏

Capel Groeswen Chapel - Community Meeting

The White Cross Inn, Groeswen. Wednesday 8 October 2025 .

Community meeting to update on current progress and the next steps of work needed for the chapel.
Last time the community said they wanted to keep it open, great ideas were shared, and we started the ball rolling re restoration works. Please come again so we can continue with this community project! We want the chapel to be used by the whole of the community, so please drop by and let's see what amazing things we can do!

Diolch i bawb ddaeth yn y tywydd oer a gwlyb i Gapel Groeswen y pnawn ma i ddathu ei benblwydd.

Roedd yn hyfryd gweld cymaint o bobl yn cwrdd yn y festri i wrando ar ein hen ffrind Y Parch. Denzil John yn arwain ein gwasanaeth. Roedd e'n wasanaeth cynnes ac amserol iawn.

Daeth pobl o bell ac yn agos, pobl newydd ac ifanc! Roedd yn hyfryd cwrdd ar ôl y gwasanaeth am baned, brechdan a chacen. Diolch i bawb a gyfrannodd.

Roedd pawb yn oer a gwlyb yn cyrraedd ond fe adawodd bawb â chalon gynnes, lawn.

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold and wet weather today to come to Groeswen Chapel's anniversary service.

So blessed to see so many gather in the vestry, to attend our anniversary service led by our dear friend Rev. Denzil John.

It was lovely to see old and new faces, as well as some very young faces, and catch up after a very thoughtful and relevant service, for some light refreshments and a chat! Thanks to everyone who contributed.
We might have arrived cold and wet, but our hearts and souls were warmed by the time we left!

Morning all, I posted last mother about the anniversary service, but the anniversary service is actually tomorrow! Oops!
So just to reitterate, everyone is welcome tomorrow Spetmeber 14th, to the anniversary service at Capel Groeswen Chapel at 3pm. It will be in the vestry, and our dear old friend Denzil John will be leading the service.
Afterwards there will be tea, coffee and light refreshments available. A very warm welcome to all.
