😃 What a great way to finish a half term! Lots of lovely play, chat and growing friendships. And today, we came to the highlight of all the things God made ... people! 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️ In our Together Time, we heard how each one of us is special because we were made by God. He made us all different, and the Bible says that we are amazing because we're made by an amazing God! 🤩 To help us remember this we made some fabulous biscuit people and used playdough to make some brilliant faces and bodies.

Another lovely morning at Stay & Play today. 😊 Our theme this week was 'God made the animals', so we fed some zoo animals in our sensory play area🦓, made some fabulous animal collages and used playdough to make lots of animals, too. Some puppets friends joined us for our Together Time as we thought about the huge variety of animals God made just by speaking. 🐘🐎🦭🐅 God is amazing! 🤩
Our creation picture is almost complete - next week, we'll find out about the very last thing God made. 😁

Our creation picture board is getting fuller as we add to it each week this half term! Today, we were thinking about something else that God made - the lights in the sky. ☀️🌙⭐️ We had great fun making playdough stars, creating fabulous celestial pictures and looking up at the stars in our night-time tent. We heard that the Bible tells us that God made the sun, moon and stars just by speaking - what an amazing and powerful God! 🤩

On a morning when Buxton was in the clouds ☁️, we had a great time learning that God made the sky and he filled it with all sorts of wonderful birds. 🐦And because we're playing catch-up from the week we had to cancel, today we also heard how God made the seas and filled them with all kinds of fish and sea creatures. 🐠 God made all these things just by speaking - wow!

🌻 We were all botanical at Stay & Play this morning with some fabulous flowery activities. We had great fun developing our fine motor skills as we had a go at some flower arranging and at creating beautiful paintings of vases of flowers. In our Together Time, we heard how God created flowers, plants and trees just by speaking. Our creation picture is looking wonderful as we keep adding all the things that God made. 🤩 Our adapted story bag also had lots of lovely sensory things in it to help the parents of our little friends with SEND engage them in the Bible teaching in a way that works for them. We're so thankful for opportunities that we have to share the truth and love of God with all our wonderful S&P families. 😊

And we're back! 😃 What a brilliant (belated 🙃) start to the new school year. It was lovely to catch up with our S&P friends and hear about their summers and to welcome our new families.

This term, our theme is 'God made'. Today, we kicked things off hearing from the Bible the true story of how God made the light, the sky , the sea and the land just by speaking. 💬 🌍 God is amazing! We're looking forward to learning what else God made in the weeks ahead.

It was a full house for our last session of the school year this morning - how wonderful to have all of our Stay & Play friends together! We had a busy time finding things on our list to point to 👉 and making bejewelled reading pointers. In our Together Time, we learned how all the true stories from the Bible that we've been hearing this term, from Adam and Eve 🍊all the way to Jonah 🐟, are like big signposts pointing to Jesus and God's amazing plan to make a way for us to be friends with him again. ✝️

As well as the usual fun and friendship, we said some goodbyes to the children who will be moving up to school/nursery (and their parents/carers) and to a family who are moving away from Buxton. 👋 We hope you all continue to flourish in your new settings - do keep in touch!

😊 We are so thankful for the time that we got to spend with our wonderful families this year and for the kind gifts we received today. We look forward to being back in September. Happy Holidays! ☀️

There was something fishy going on at Stay & Play this morning! 🐟 Our little friends had great fun being like Jonah in the belly of a big fish and making a craft to help tell the story. In our Together Time, we heard from the Bible the true story of how Jonah didn’t want to pass on God's warning to the people of Nineveh, so he ran away to sea. 🌊 When God sent a big storm to stop Jonah, God also sent a big fish to save him when the sailors threw him overboard. God also saved the sailors and the Ninevites, who finally heard God's warning and turned back to him. God is a wonderful Rescuer! 🤩

⚠️ Watch out! There are lions about! 🦁 We had so much fun this morning with 'lions' den' sensory bins and Playmobil set, but the mane attraction was the craft table. A whole pride of fabulous roaring lions was created!
Today, we heard the Bible story of Daniel, who continued to trust God and pray to him 🙏, even when the law said you could only pray to the king. Daniel was thrown into a den of lions, but God kept him safe by closing the lions' mouths. Wow, God is amazing! 🤩

We had BIG fun at Stay and Play this morning.
Today's activities included sorting objects by size, some threading and counting to make a pouch for 5 'stones' (pom poms) and a giant height chart. 📏 In our story time, we heard about when God helped little David defeat giant Goliath with just a well-aimed stone. Goliath may have been big, but God is the BIGGEST, and he is able to defeat our biggest enemy, too - our sin that means we can't be friends with him. 🤩
