If anyone would like to purchase an Easter chick, which have been knitted by the congregation and does include an egg, please contact us. All donations are going to raise funds for St Francis House Children’s Hospice.

Just 48 hours left guys!
And we are on 412 objections, which is amazing.
Thank you all for taking the time to try and preserve our beautiful area, and to keep our bridleways safe for current and future riders, walkers and cyclists.
Birtle is special. Let’s keep it that way….. if you haven’t objected (or supported, if that’s your thing!) please make sure you do by the end of Sunday.

What is the Epiphany? 🤔

The feast of the Epiphany celebrates the revealing of Jesus Christ to the wider world as its saviour. This event is commonly associated with the visit of the Magi (or 'the wise men') to the newborn Jesus. Epiphany follows the 12 days of Christmastide, which ends on 5 January.

Where does the time go? 12 months ago today, I was licensed as Incumbent (SSM) at St John, the Baptist, Bircle, Bury. I have been so blessed to have been called to serve the church, the people and the community in this parish. I am humbled and privileged to be so supported by everyone at St John. I will continue to do my best for you, to walk with and alongside you, to work with you and be your support. Thank you all. Love, prayers & blessings for our continuing and growing journey together.
