It was a huge joy to welcome our mission partners - Jenny & Stefano Mariotti - to Westgate Chapel last night. We heard the latest news from Chiesa Evangelica la Piazza in Budrio and prayed for them. We’ve been partnering with the church in Budrio since the very beginning — in fact, Jenny & Stefano met at Westgate!! So it was delightful to see them both.

We noticed that there weren’t any publicly accessible 24/7 defibrillators near our church building in the middle of Bury St Edmunds. So… we’ve bought one and installed it and hope that it could make the difference in saving a loved one’s life.

Less than one in ten people survive a cardiac arrests outside of hospital. Every second counts.

You’ll find the cabinet on the corner of our building on Hospital Road (IP33 3JT) and the machine is registered with The Circuit.

(Bonus points for spotting Ben in his happy place!)

It was so good to join with friends from five other local Suffolk FIEC churches last night for a joint service. We sang. We heard God’s word. We prayed together. We ate cake. And went home very encouraged!

Thanks to Bradfield and Rougham Baptist Church for generously hosting.

The new screens are up! Now we just need to clean up and put the Chapel back together again… oh and hide the Christmas tree. 🎄

We’re hugely thankful to for hosting us the past two Sunday’s whilst our building has been redecorated. We’ll be back at the Chapel from next Sunday (21st September) for a Harvest Thanksgiving service at 10.30am.

It’s all a bit of work in progress at Westgate Chapel at the moment. We’ve got some brilliant decorators in freshening up our hall and new AV equipment being installed next week.

🚧🚨 The paintbrushes are still out at Westgate Chapel! 🚨🚧

So for this Sunday (7th September 2025) only, we’re moving our morning service just around the corner to Westgate Community Primary School (IP33 3JX).

🕥 Service starts at 10.30am as usual
🚗 There is plenty of car parking available at the school

We very much hope to be back in our freshly decorated Chapel for the following weekend.
