Take your kids to church.
Even if they wiggle in the seat.
Even if they whisper too loud.
Even if you feel like everyone is looking at you.
Bring them anyway.
Because church isn’t about perfectly behaved kids.
It’s about raising kids who know where to run when life gets heavy.
It’s about teaching them that when they’re scared… they can pray.
When they’re hurting… they can turn to God.
When they feel lost… they know where to go.
And if you haven’t gone in a long time… that’s okay.
If it’s been years… that’s okay too.
If you’ve never taken them before… that’s okay.
You can start now.
Your kids don’t need a perfect parent leading them.
They just need a parent who’s willing.
Let them see you worship.
Let them see you pray.
Let them see you trust God even when you don’t have all the answers.
Because one Sunday can turn into a habit.
And a habit can turn into a foundation.
And that foundation might be the very thing that carries them through the hardest moments of their lives one day.
So if you’ve been feeling that little tug in your heart lately…
This might be your sign.
Take your kids to church.
God will meet you there. 🤍🙏

A little reminder of our open invitation to come along to the family service this Sunday. Richard has approached a few of you with little ones directly, (we'd love to have a little baby to rock, rather than an empty cradle), but any age, we'd love to see you at our family services which take place every 2nd Sunday of the month.

If you have any questions about church, please feel free to get in touch, or speak to one of the volunteers any week.

ALL ages are welcome to EVERY service at St Mark’s, but on the 2nd Sunday of every month we have our Family service, with songs, talk, readings and prayers designed to engage people of all ages.

The Family service in February will be on Sunday 8th
at 10.45am. It will feature 'The rocking ceremony’, a beautiful tradition started in the village of Blidworth in Nottinghamshire in the 15th Century, when on the feast of the presentation of Jesus at the temple, villages would enact bible stories and rock a baby boy, born closest to Christmas in a cradle. It symbolizes the nurturing love of God who is with us from our first moments and throughout our lifetime.

Whether you have a babe in arms who could have a gentle rock in our cradle, children who will enjoy making a noise with a shaker during the songs, or want to experience church for yourself, young and old, families and individuals are all warmly welcomed.

🦁 We continue to meet every Tuesday from 10am-12pm at St Mark’s, Winshill.
If you’re looking for an additional lovely group to attend we recommend Shorties (for under 1s) and Little Blessings (for older children)- both meet at The Community Church, Stapenhill 💕

🫖🍰This Saturday we are open for refreshments at St Mark's, a lovely community event with plenty of home baked cakes. Come along from 2-4pm
🐥🐮Also this Saturday, Helen will be running an activity day for little ones at Church Farm in Anslow through her Usborne business.
🦅🪁And.. if you have primary aged children, we'd LOVE to see them at our free activity day on 1st August in St Mark's.
