As the crescent of a new year rises, we turn our hearts back to Allah.

A new beginning is not only counted by days, but by the state of the heart; a heart softened through dhikr, awakened through salawฤt, and guided by the light of the Beloved ๏ทบ.

May this new Islamic year be a journey from heedlessness to remembrance, from distance to nearness, and from the noise of the world to the peace of the soul.

Ya Allah, make this year a year of barakah, forgiveness, spiritual openings, and hearts illuminated by Your love.

๐Ÿšจ COMMUNITY ALERT ๐Ÿšจ

*We would like to remind everyone, to remain vigilant following a concerning rise in attacks targeting Muslims and minority communities across the UK.*

These incidents serve as a stark reminder that we must remain alert and take sensible precautions to protect our families, homes, businesses, and places of worship.

We are in regular contact with the local Police and Council there is no intelligence to suggest that Burton will be targetted. However for safety it is important to remain vigilant at all times!

Anyone witnessing suspicious behaviour, threats, vandalism, or individuals acting suspiciously around homes or Masjids to call the police immediately.

We will not allow fear or intimidation to divide our communities. The overwhelming majority of people in our town reject hatred and extremism, but we must remain united and vigilant against those who seek to spread fear and target innocent families.

May Allah ๏ทปโ€Ž protect our families, our Masjids, and our communities from all harm, Ameen.

A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine erect. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink, and one third for air.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3349

The Prophet, peace be upon him, gave us a framework for eating in one sentence.
It is not a diet plan or a restriction. It is a principle, simple enough to remember at any table, in any kitchen, in any decade.

One third food. One third drink. One third air.
We have inherited this teaching as a religious instruction, and that is enough on its own. But there is something worth sitting with: modern nutritional research did not arrive at a different conclusion.

A 2024 meta-analysis on time-restricted eating and caloric moderation confirmed what this hadith has carried for 1,400 years. The body performs better with space in it.
This is not coincidence. It is the coherence of a revelation that addressed the whole human being.

The Prophetic wellness system was always a system. The optional Monday and Thursday fast, the midday rest called qaylulah, the practice of eating together, the instruction not to eat until hungry and to stop before full: each piece connects. None of it is incidental.
The body is not ours.

The body is an amanah, a trust placed with us by Allah. We are its custodians, not its owners. How we feed it, rest it, and tend to it is a form of worship.
This shifts the question. It is no longer โ€œhow much can I eat?โ€ It becomes โ€œhow much does this vessel need to carry the weight of my purpose?โ€
One third. One third. One third. A third for the food that sustains you, a third for the water that cleanses you, a third for the breath that keeps you present.

What the Prophet described is not deprivation. It is balance, written for a people who were meant to remain upright.

๐ŸŒ™โœจ Eid Mubarak from CJMR โœจ๐ŸŒ™

As we celebrate this blessed occasion of Eid, we thank Allah ุณุจุญุงู†ู‡ ูˆุชุนุงู„ู‰ for His endless mercy, guidance, and countless blessings upon us and our families.

We remember in our prayers those who are less fortunate โ€” those facing hardship, illness, loneliness, poverty, and struggle around the world. May Allah ease their difficulties, grant them peace, sustenance, and hope, and allow us to be among those who help and support others with sincerity and compassion.

We also make special duโ€™a for all those blessed to be performing Hajj this year. May Allah accept their pilgrimage, forgive their sins, strengthen their iman, and return them home safely as purified servants of Allah.

This Eid is also a reminder for all of us to grow closer to our faith, improve our character, strengthen our prayers, and strive to become better Muslims every day through kindness, patience, humility, and unity.

May Allah fill our homes with barakah, our hearts with peace, and our lives with guidance.

Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones. ๐Ÿค
